Okay, I know I couldn't do a real tutorial to save my life but I would love to swap techniques and tips, etc with all of you! There is so much for all of us to learn and things that others know that could help save time with fabulous results or something in a program that we just have not discovered yet or atleast not to its full potential, etc.
So come on everyone share little things you know and see if there is something you might not. Its time to join together and help each other grow in the area that we all love... ART!
My little tips (will add more this weekend when I get off work tomorrow morning)
1. Using the lasso tool outline the edges of what you want to cut everything around
Go to Selection > Modify > Smooth set it to 5 or 10 then cut out the stuff around the image you dont want.
Then go back and cut out anything that might be lingering around that you missed
The use the magic wand tool in the area that you have just cut out and go to Selection > Modify > Expand set this to 2 or 4 pixels depending on size then do the smoothing again set on 5 and then go use Glassian Blur set to 0.6 through 0.9
2. When working with water to make it where you can see layers below like in my image Manic Depressive or 'O Valentine or Love You to Death
Use these these Blending types on your layers:
Soft Light and Luminosity on normally around three seperate layers
Sometimes I will do other layers with Hard Light and/or Overlay if I need a little something else
Will add more later and I can't wait to see what all wonderfulness you all have shared. These are just some things I do that I thought you might find handy... not saying they are the best or even the 'right' way to do something just something you may or may not find useful in some pieces

please put this in your journal and show your support

And go here to my poll if you want her to be the 3D Gallery Director it is kind of a petition of sorts [link]
